We were initially a little hesitant about choosing Yopa as we were used to the traditional high street estate agent model. However, it was definitely a calculated risk worth taking! David Rose was our agent and he couldn't have been more committed. We worked with him on the copy for our listing and discussed what we felt were the neighbourhood's key selling points which, not being as familiar with our local area as a high street agent would have been, he was happy to take our steer on. David undertook viewings at weekends as well as during the week, and when our sale fell through (down to the buyer's personal situation) he went about our sale second time around with as much focus and commitment as he had the first time. David was great at keeping us up to speed with what was going on throughout our sales process; with a flat upfront fee we were concerned that the Yopa model may encourage the agent to be less tenacious in seeing the sale through to the bitter end. Not so with David, he remained involved and proactive throughout, and we can't thank him enough. If you are considering the Yopa model, I would recommend meeting your agent and not jumping straight into the typical commission model of high street agents. We not only saved thousands of pounds but we believe we also received arguably better service from David Rose at Yopa than we would otherwise have from a local agent.
